Class of 2026, Battle Creek Canyon

Golden hour at Battle Creek Canyon did not disappoint. We hiked up just before sunset and found the most beautiful weathered old barn tucked into the canyon that gave us this incredible rustic backdrop, and then the open hillside beyond had sweeping valley views with the mountains in the distance. The light that evening was warm and golden and wrapped everything in that soft glow that only shows up in that last window before the sun drops. He was relaxed and easy to work with, which honestly makes all the difference. We moved through a few different spots, from leaning against the old wood wall to standing out in the open field in his graduation gown with that bright glowing sky behind him. Battle Creek is one of those hidden gem locations right in Pleasant Grove that most people walk right past on their way to the waterfall, and I cannot wait to shoot there again.
